Starbucks “Onward”

Cover design for Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz’s “Onward: How Starbucks Fought for It’s Life without Losing It’s Soul.” In his new book, Howard tells the story of the company’s dramatic turnaround following his return as CEO of Starbucks in 2008.

A two-sided logo captures the dual fight to restore the company’s financial health without sacrificing its humanity and core values. The logo featured on the cover was hand-painted by me with Starbucks coffee and a stir stick.

The end-papers display, at the front, the slew of negative media coverage in the midst of Starbucks’ financial struggles and at the back, headlines of praise following the company’s successful turnaround.
