For The Bold Italic’s latest magazine issue they decided to try something new: a curated box of objects centered around the theme of food. Enter the Dinner-Party-In-A-Box. I was commissioned to design a coffee towel for the box that educates people around different coffee brewing methods.
And what better way to make learning fun than to add a bit of personality? I turned the coffee brewing methods into a colorful cast of characters called the Coffee Troupe. Each character is inspired by the shape and characteristics of the brewing method, and sure to amuse even coffee snobs.
