UP24 Activity Tracker
The UP activity-tracking wristband goes wireless. This project was done while working at Jawbone.
Going Wireless
As part of the product team at Jawbone, I helped designed the 3.0 app release for UP24, the new wireless version of their activity-tracking wristband. We completely overhauled the app to work seamlessly with the real-time Bluetooth enabled syncing of data from the band to the app. We focused on helping users translate real-time understanding of their own behaviors into tangible actions to better their lives.
“Today I Will”
In addition to enhancing the app’s existing set of features, we also released a new set of features including a timeline-based Activity Log, Sleep Recovery, Milestones and “Today I Will”, which tracks your activity over time and gives you bite-sized goals to help bolster your progress.
UP weekly summary emails helped improve user retention and complement the day-to-day UP app experience with a bigger picture view of overall weekly progress. They helped users understand their performance based on new trend data and insights not currently available in the app.
The Process
This project included many months of strategy, planning, mapping, ideation, sketching, prototyping and execution. Below are some images from our process.
